Vocabulary Week 16

1.)amorous - strongly moved by love and especially sexual love

Example: The two lovers were quite amorous with one another.


2.)aroma -a distinctive pervasive and usually pleasant or savory smell

The aroma of fresh baked cookies is extrodonary.



3.)awkward -lacking social grace and assurance b: causing embarrassment

Example: I walked into a wall in fron tof my crush and it was quite awkward.



4.) consummate -complete in every detail

Example: The lovers consumated their love by getting rings that symbolized their intentions.

5.)inevitability -incapable of being avoided or evaded
Example: Fighters know never to accept the inevitable.


6.)acquiesce -to accept, comply, or submit tacitly or passively
Example: Sometimes I acquiese to others in an argument.


7.)delirium -an acute mental disturbance characterized by confused thinking and disrupted attention usually accompanied by disordered speech and hallucinations



8.)deleterious -harmful often in a subtle or unexpected way



9.) ecstasy -a state of being beyond reason and self-control
